Q. What about my primary care physician?
A.
Not all the doctors in the KKD network necessarily want to assume the position of your primary care physician and they are very happy to consult with your regular doctor in order to coordinate your care when visiting you at home. However, in the event you do not have a primary care physician, our affiliate doctors are well qualified to take this responsibility

Q. What do I do in case of an emergency ?
A. For any medical Emergency,  immediately call 911.

Q. What will be the cost for a house call?
A. The out-of-pocket cost for a KKD house call is based on the doctors fee schedule in your area. Many of the providers we refer you to accept most major insurance companies and Medicare. You may be asked for a co-pay depending on the deductible and plan you have. If insurance is an issue, please notify the KKD service coordinator when you call.

Q. What about insurance?
A. There are many insurance companies, and each one offers many different plans, it is impossible to predict how each plan will reimburse the fees. But you should know that there is a CPT code for “house calls”. We suggest that you discuss with your health insurance provider to inquire about the type of coverage. After each house call, the physician will provide you with the paperwork to submit for reimbursement to your insurance company.

For Home Health Care, Medical Transportation, and in Home Diagnostics, most providers are in the network of most insurance providers. Therefore the services are in some instances fully covered. The best way to proceed is to discuss ahead of time with your insurance carrier regarding the services that are covered under your plan.

Q. What If I have not met my deductible yet?
A. You will have to abide by the rules of your specific insurance coverage.  We will do our best to work with you in understanding the insurance options available to you.

Q. What happens if I don't have insurance?
A. If you don't have insurance, you will be required to pay for every service you require separately. KKD will do its best effort to help you find and choose the most cost effective providers. Our trained service coordinators are there to assist you.

A. As often I you wish. We have no call limits.

A. No it is one card per household, therefore covering your loved ones as well as yourself.

In the event the primary care physician is not available, the Doctor will call the hospital of your choice and make all the necessary arrangements with the hospital's attending physician, to coordinate your admission in the most effective way.
